Director: James L. Brooks
Release Date: 17 December 2010 (USA)

Reese Witherspoon Reese Witherspoon ...
Paul Rudd Paul Rudd ...

Rudd plays a guy who has been anointed head of the troubled family firm by his adorable scapegrace dad, played by Jack Nicholson. But this is a poisoned chalice and Rudd is furthermore unhappily in love with a pro softball player (played by Witherspoon) at the painful end of her career – who finds herself dating an amiable, narcissistic sports star, played by Owen Wilson. I really liked this movie, its filled with good humor and great acting.

 Movie trailer

The film is about a Korean war veteran, Walt Kowalski, who lives with his dog. He'd lost his wife recently and doesn't have a good relationship with his sons. Walt is bitter and tormented by the war's ghosts. Besides, he's getting annoyed with the increasing presence of immigrants in his neighborhood.

One of his neighbors, an Asian boy named Thao, tries to steal his car, a 1972 Gran Torino, in order to be accepted in a gang but is stopped by Walt and his gun. After some events, Walt and Thao become friends while having to deal with the violence of the street gang.

I think the script is very good. It explores themes such as racism, friendship, anger, revenge and redemption in a creative (and sometimes funny) way. It's about life and death and how the death of one person can bring life to another. Clint Eastwood does a great job reviving his "tough-guy" type but this time with lots of emotion and experience. Very Good! Hope you will enjoy it as well.

This is my first review so please comment and give me feedback that i can do better reviews for you!

I must highly commend the Director, Producers, Actors and of course the screen play writers for giving us one of the funniest movies that I have seen in a long time...
And i mean it! This movie was fun and full of action.!

It's not perfect, but what film is? If I was paid to criticise it I could think of a couple minor complaints but within its genre this is as near to perfection as it gets. Other films will be remembered longer and will receive more acclaim but this movie does exactly what it sets out to do better than almost any other I can think of.
